This is Breakspears.
This is my new project. Breakspears is home to 9 young homeless mothers and their new baby. It's run by the very good people at Centrepoint who help these young women to get on their feet, get on with their lives and get on with building a future for them and their child. It's a great house, but I want to turn it into a haven. Somewhere that proves good, solid and emotional design can improve the way you live and how you feel.
I've been waiting and waiting for a media partner to say yes to help me spread the word, but very good news means I don't have to wait any further.
I'll be launching a campaign to ask you for your help soon. Last year we built a library for Centrepoint, which we are very proud of. This year, we are hopefully going to help young homeless people feel good about where they live.
This is extraordinarily exciting.

Congratulations! It is exciting!
Oh, I would love to talk to you more about how your are going about doing this. I volunteer for the San Diego Sexual Assault Team -- and the crisis center is in DIRE need of repair. It is so awful. It needs to be comforting and welcoming.
Sounds like a fantastic project – I wish you all the best! Sometimes I also fantasize about doing something like this, in the future. Bringing beauty and cosiness to a place that needs it most... Do you know about the "Enchanted Makeovers"? I felt so inspired when I found out about it. Here's the link: http://www.enchantedmakeovers.org/
