Thought for the week - waving not drowning!

I say to myself as the never ending stripping of bad paint jobs stretches ahead of me like a really long stretchy thing.

Damn those people for not sanding - right back to those Victorians. It's important though. Do it once, do it well. Don't compromise, do without and have a vision of what you want your home to say about you.

Mine is a clean shell with period features intact - a traditional minimalist? with quilts of course a few antiques (such lovely iron beds for the kids!).

So back I go to cursing those damned corbels and ceiling roses..
